Suffolk sheep are a larger breed renowned for good quality meat and for being strong and hardy. The Suffolk rams are often crossed with ewes to improve meat production.

The Suffolk breed has now developed to produce quality prime lamb although historically were known for good mutton build.

Suffolks are now exported all over the world to the leading sheep producing countries.

The Suffolk breed is recognised by the black face, black legs and hornless head.
